Cricket Hill - Nice!
I decided to try to ride a new park today: Cricket Hill in Hyde Park, VT. I knew there were a variety of super easy trails as well as more challenging trails.
1 - Easy
2 - Medium
3a - "Advanced" climb
3b - "Advanced" Descent
Trailforks |
Note the criss-crossing dotted lines. Those are old logging roads that function as wide X-C ski trails in the winter...
Entrance
1- Easy
2- A bit harder
The south section connects to the High School if you wander off the designated single track.3 - Advanced
The "advanced trails" in the north section were great. Many well constructed switchbacks on the climb up and the ride back down was an orgy of well-sculpted (machine-built) flow mixed with old school contours and weird moguls.I stopped for a breather and noticed this Fu Manchu mustache face |
The descent (called the Bernie Saunders trail!) was great - many berms and steep quick turns. No pics cuz I was flyin'!
Not me but a nice helmet cam of the descent: YouTube >
