Yep A triple!

Headed up to Cowles mid morning and finally rode a bit of the upper section. Taj Mahal was great! The climb up to it was some serious hike-a-bike and what's worse? As I was climbing I realized I left my Camelbak back on top of the car!!! Duh!

I was hoping to do more of the upper section but I beelined it back down to get the Camelbak....

...and decided to finish off the morning with a quickie at Smith School. I had just leaf blew the back trails at Parcel 3 at Smith and wanted to ride the crazy dip into the crevasse (which surprising I hadn't seen before!)

Later that day I headed over to Plainville to ride with the NEMBA guys a Shade Swamp. There were lots of us and downs and I baled early (at the XX) and rode back to  the Transcend Brewery via the roads. We head a nice social time at the brewery when the full ride was complete.:-)

A Triple Header!

It was a beautiful day out today: sunny and not too hot (for a change). In the morning I rode

1 - Smith School

The Trailforks map is still a "Work in Progress"

Smith School Trails

2- East of Keeney (EoK)

Then I rode some of Eok. Sadly there were a lot of blowdowns that we'll need to clear out...

3- Case Mountain

In the afternoon I rode Case Mountain, this time with the intention of checking out the trails that parallel Coop Road since I have never ridden those...

Trails I rode:

  • Coop Road
  • Warlock
  • The Reflex (this is a tough trail!)
  • Coop Road
  • Warlock
  • Coop Road
  • Rope Swing
  • Coop Road

Double Header Plus!

I did a double header today (well almost a triple header if you count my hike at Smith School).

Smith School Trails

In the morning I hiked Parcel 3 at the Smith School Trails and widened a couple of tight turns with the rake and GPSd the Maze area, The GPS--as expected--didn't turn out so great.  Due to the tightness of the loops, there were quite a few crossover errors. I fudged it the best I could for the graphic map.

R3 - start of the mini-Sidewinder

Dividend Pond

I drove over to Dividend Pond for a quickie which of course included both the mini Sidewinder ravines as well as the Pit Viper and Back to the Future trails.

River Highlands

Next,  over at River Highlands for a change I rode Upper PowerGlide in the opposite direction and ventured the amazing rim trails along the ravines. They were freakin' awesome!
