North of Howe - Test Trail Ride

Today I gave these trails a test ride on the mountain bike. There were a few shameful walk-a-bike sections - this XC weenie needs to ride more!!

Needs benching!

North of Howe - Back Trails Connector

I finally made a nice rideable connection to the back trails...

There is still a lot of benching to be done but it is rideable :-)

Of course, there's always more to explore...

Loops North of Howe

I had a bit of time in the evening so I finished Trail A (see below). The eastern section of it needs cleaning up but its a much nicer two-way ascent/descent to/from the high ridge (the purple trail to the south is too steep!).

I still need to make the connection to the back trails (B)

Here's a suggested mtn bike route map - RIDE THE LOOPS!

Many of the trails in the A B section need further work (benching, clearing duff, etc.) but they are rideable!

Strategizing Loops North of Howe - Part 3

On Friday the 31st, I was able to update a bit more of the burgeoning trail system:

1. a new loop back of the ridge cleared
2. this will be the "flat" connector to the back trails (now cleared)
3. still need to create a connector here to the ridge climb loop (1) and the flat "back trails" (2) connector
