Abandoned! (east side of Farmington River)

Today there was a wedding shower for my son's fiancé so "the boys" (myself, my son Greg and his two friends) took a hike along the Farmington River while the girls celebrated. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we had a great time.

The hilly trail alternated between sunny clearings to shady woods and we were rewarded at the first stop tat he abandoned powerhouse. Both structures were visited were part of the Collins Company Axe Factory which is located at bit further upstream in Collinsville.

Pool Party

After our hike we returned to Sylvia's (my son's fiancé') parents house for a lovely pool party. The theme was cleverly "Coffey+ based :-)

Collinsville

After the pool party,  Cris and I spent some quality time in Collinsville - its a wonderful historically significant village and a great place to "top off" the day

^ Oo yeah - Collinsville is great! ^
