Another Historical Gem at Trumbull

A Pleasant Surprise

On my mid afternoon mountain bike ride in the Valley today, I happened upon more historical remnants that's were surprisingly new to me!

These are a bit upstream from the earthen dam area and were probably supports to an underwater sluiceway that engineers could open and regulate water flow as needed. They are totally obscured by brush in the summer months...

These large boulders were part of the dam which was blown apart in 1941when the lake was drained.
