East Side of Union Pond

I was up in this area on an errand and decided to take a hike. Even though it was cloudy and the trails were still wet it was an interesting hike...

The first section  of the trail was nice and rugged and very scenic.  After the big rain we just had, the river was roaring!

Picnic table!
There were ruins of an old mill across the river and remnants of some kind of crossing or dam on both banks...
Maybe there was a crossing here?
This looked like it held a pipeline
The trail got a little narrow at times!
Darn - I forgot my machete!
A bit further on, the abandoned warehouse that I visited on Aug. 18th was visible across the river.
The pipe across the river was for water

A bit rocky here!
That's Union Pond :-)
Broken swingset
The trail widened considerably...
That's Northwest Park on the left
Heading back....
